Taipei: China has once again intensified its military activities against Taiwan. China dispatched 39 fighter jets and three destroyers in the direction of Taiwan on Wednesday. Taiwan, already prepared for the eventuality, despatched its fighter jets forcing the Chinese fighter jets to retreat.
As per the information released by the Taiwanese defence ministry, China demonstrated this aggression towards Taiwan between 6 am on Wednesday to 6 am on Thursday. The Chinese airplane fleet also included four bombers. The Chinese aircraft travelled through the Gulf of Bashi and the destroyers sailed through the Taiwanese maritime region. China has increased its aggression since the Taiwan visit of Nancy Pelosi, the US House of Representatives Speaker, in August. At the same time, Chinese leaders and military officials are threatening the merger of Taiwan into China. Taking serious cognisance of this, Taiwan has said that Taiwanese security is important in this sector. Japan also pointed out that Japanese security will be threatened if China takes control of Taiwan. Japan had also warned that the United States should not show any laxity regarding Taiwanese security.
