China dispatches aircraft carrier and destroyers; Militaries of Japan and

Tokyo: China’s Liaoning aircraft carrier and eight destroyers sailed near the Japanese island of Okinawa. It is claimed that China has demonstrated its strength through this action. Military analysts say the patrolling of Chinese warships is a warning for Taiwan and Japan. Japan, meanwhile, issued a warning to the patrolling Chinese warships by dispatching its warships and bombers. Taiwan has also instructed its security forces to remain on alert.

China has launched a ‘realistic combat drill’ in the western Pacific sector. For this, China has sent a fleet of its warships to the western Pacific. The Chinese navy has stated that its exercise is not against any country. But the voyage by Chinese warships off the Japanese island of Okinawa amounts to provocation. Japan, already on high alert, sent its Izumo helicopter carrier, the P-1 reconnaissance aircraft and the P-3C anti-submarine aircraft behind the Chinese aircraft carrier and destroyers.

Four months ago, a Chinese aircraft carrier had patrolled the area. According to local media reports, it is not a mere coincidence that Liaoning then sailed from here with seven destroyers on Monday. At the time, Chinese warships were travelling 480 kilometres from the Japanese island of Okinawa. It is alleged that China systematically planned the voyage and issued a warning to Japan, the United States and Taiwan.

The United States has an airbase on the island of Okinawa, Japan. Advanced US fighter jets and helicopters are stationed here. Earlier, China had sent its destroyers along the Okinawa border. This was objected to by Japan as well as the United States. Since the US is focusing on the war in Ukraine, there are indications that Chinese warships are not travelling to the region as a mere warning.

International analysts have warned that China will also attack Taiwan on the lines of the Russian attack on Ukraine. Even the mouthpiece of the Chinese communist regime and military analysts say the opportunity to seize Taiwan has arrived. By increasing the number of missiles aimed at Taiwan, China has shown that it is ready to grab the opportunity. Chinese warplanes have repeatedly infiltrated Taiwan’s borders, assessing Taiwanese war readiness.

In such a scenario, the patrolling by the Liaoning aircraft carrier with its fleet near the Japanese island of Okinawa also appears to be part of the same Chinese preparations. After the attack on Taiwan, the United States could impose economic sanctions on China. This would jeopardize China’s foreign assets. It has been revealed that China has convened a meeting of domestic and foreign banks to examine how to protect these assets. As a result, Chinese actions against Japan and Taiwan are not limited to warnings and threats. It appears to be planning the strategy for an attack on Taiwan.

Japan had declared that a Chinese attack on Taiwan would be considered an attack on Japan. Japan has also decided to provide all the necessary assistance to Taiwan. China is sending a message to Japan that in that scenario, Japan cannot be safe from it. But Japan has shown that it will not be intimidated by Chinese might by launching its warships behind China’s naval base.
