The Supreme Court ruled against the Biden administration by six to three votes. The Biden administration has violated federal law by repealing the ‘Remain in Mexico’ policy. The decision to repeal the policy appears to be arbitrary and whimsical, the US Supreme Court has said. This is the third time, in just a week, that a court has lashed out at the Biden administration over the issue of ‘Remain in Mexico‘ Policy. Prior to the ruling, the Texas County Court of Appeals and the Fifth US Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans ruled that the Biden administration’s decision was incorrect.

A few days ago, the Biden administration was forced to start implementing a provision called Title 42 against the backdrop of the increasing influx of refugees into the United States. Former President Trump implemented the provision for direct expulsion of illegal immigrants. Earlier this month, the Biden administration extended its term and began enforcement. After that, there are indications that ‘Remain in Mexico’ also will be implemented. Analysts claim that this is an endorsement that Trump’s policies were correct.

Former President Trump had taken an aggressive stance against refugees who came to the United States, as well as infiltrated. Along with the construction of the Mexico Wall, policies such as Remain in Mexico were implemented to prevent refugees from entering the Mexican border. It included a provision to keep refugees coming to the United States from Mexico until the initial legal process is completed.

As a result, thousands of refugees seeking to enter the United States illegally were stranded in Mexico. The Mexican government was also forced to take action against these refugees. Trump‘s decision led to a sharp drop in the number of refugees crossing the border. But after Biden took over the reins, a series of decisions were made to allow free entry to illegal immigrants. Biden also blamed that Trump’s refugee policy tarnished the image of the United States.

Meanwhile, the month of July saw an unprecedented increase in the number of illegal immigrants entering the United States through the Mexican border. US authorities say that they have detained a whopping 2 million, 12 thousand, 672 refugees crossing the border into Mexico. This is a record for the last 21 years. This is the first time since April 2000 that more than two lakh refugees have infiltrated in a single month. The governor of the US state of Texas has already declared a state of emergency.
