President Biden scraps Trump’s ‘Remain in Mexico’ policy to stop illegal immigrant influx; New bill presented to award citizenship to 10 million illegal immigrants

Washington: – President Biden scraped the ‘Remain in Mexico’ policy, formulated by former President Donald Trump, to stop illegal immigrant influx into the country. This has been issued by the US internal security department. At the same time, a new bill has been presented in the US Congress to award citizenship to more than 10 million illegal immigrants. A few months ago, former President Trump had accused that huge waves of illegal immigrants are dashing against the US-Mexico border.

Former President Donald Trump had adopted a very aggressive stand against the illegal immigrants living in the country as well as trying to enter the country. To stop the illegal immigrant infiltration, Trump had started the construction of the Mexico wall and implemented the Remain in Mexico policy to prevent the illicit immigrant influx. This policy had the provision that the immigrant is retained in Mexico until the preliminary legal formalities are completed. Therefore, thousands of immigrants trying to enter the United States illegally had to stay put in Mexico. Even the Mexican government had to take action against these immigrants. A marked reduction had been observed in the number of illegal immigration, through the border, in the wake of these Trump policies. But Biden, immediately after assuming power, started a spate of decisions to award freedom to these illegal immigrants. Biden accused that the immigrant policies of Trump were maligning the US image.

These decisions taken by Biden and the Democrat party of scrapping the policies adopted by former President Trump are a part of the soft stand regarding immigrants. Because of this, millions of immigrants have entered the United States in the last few months, and it has been revealed that an emergency-like situation has been created in the border states. But instead of finding a solution to the problem, President Biden seems to be opening more avenues, with this new decision, for the immigrants to enter the United States.

Biden has announced something special for those illegally staying in the United States along with the intruding immigrants. He has presented a bill named the ‘US Citizenship Act of 2021’ to award US citizenship to 11 million illegal immigrants.

While President Biden is busy awarding freedom to illegal immigrants, the situation in the border state of Texas seems to be deteriorating fast. In an extensive action against illegal immigrants, the security agencies have detained more than 150 illegal immigrants. It has been exposed that these immigrants have been brought into the United States by the human trafficking gangs. Against this very background, Texas Governor Greg Abbott has declared a state of emergency in the state. This emergency is declared because of the illegal immigrant influx, and it has been clarified that administrative support will be provided to stop this influx.
