US keeping Afghan funds frozen would cause massive refugee influx globally: Taliban diplomat Muttaqi

Kabul – Taliban Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi warned that if the situation continues to remain the same, the problems for the Afghan population will increase. Moreover, there will be a massive influx of Afghan refugees in the region and around the world. If this is to be avoided, the United States should release the funds for Afghanistan that it is holding back. The United States froze Afghan funds to the tune of $9 billion after the Taliban took over the control of Kabul. The meeting of the UN Security Forces to discuss the Afghanistan issue will be held soon. The Muttaqi warning comes just before this meeting.
