United States assisted coups against governments in other countries

Washington: Former US National Security Advisor (NSA) John Bolton made a sensational claim that the United States assisted rebellions against the ruling governments in other countries. During an interview with the news channel CNN, he stated that such rebellions need long-term and detailed planning. Bolton did not name any country. But accusations had been made of US involvement in the comprehensive rebellions in Venezuela and Iraq.

Moreover, a hearing is being conducted in Congress over the attack carried out on the US Congress last year. Besides, reports have surfaced that former President Donald Trump had planned and had a hand in the attack. Bolton has served as the NSA during the tenure of Donald Trump. Therefore, he was quizzed regarding this during the interview. While saying that Trump cannot perpetrate a rebellion, he claimed that the United States had assisted rebellions in other countries.

Bolton claimed that there has to be detailed planning to orchestrate a rebellion. He further said that he had assisted rebellions and related plans in many countries. Bolton also said that Trump never attempted such things. While saying other countries, Bolton avoided naming the countries. But during the interview, he stated that the US efforts failed in Venezuela. Bolton said during the interview that it was seen in Venezuela what the opposition is supposed to do to overthrow the government of an illegal dictator and how the efforts failed.

John Bolton has been operational in the US political circles since 1980 and has functioned on important posts in the justice and state departments. He also has worked as the US Ambassador to the United Nations. He had presented an aggressive stand that the United States should launch attacks on Iran, Iraq and North Korea. He had also strongly justified the US intervention in these countries.

Over the last many years, it has been exposed that the US state department and intelligence agency CIA have carried out activities against governments in foreign countries. Many sensational claims had surfaced through Wikileaks and been exposed a few years ago.
