Ukraine’s fresh security proposal is a prelude to WWIII – ex-Russian President Medvedev

Moscow/Kyiv: ‘The Kyiv camarilla has given birth to a project of ‘security guarantees’, which are essentially a prologue to a third world war. Of course, no one will provide any ‘guarantees’ to the Ukrainian Nazis,’ warned former Russian President and Deputy Chief of the Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev.

On Tuesday, the Ukrainian government tabled a proposal titled ‘The Kyiv Security Compact International Security Guarantees for Ukraine: Recommendations’. It demanded the Western countries that support Ukraine, guarantee the security of Ukraine’s borders and provide Ukraine with weapons, training and financial assistance. Ukraine has also insisted that countries that guarantee security should maintain sanctions against Russia. These countries include the eight major NATO member nations, including Australia and European countries.

Moreover, the proposal was prepared by a group led by former NATO chief Anders Rasmussen and Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak. There was a strong reaction from Russia against this proposal. Medvedev, the deputy head of Russia’s Security Council, derided the proposal as a hysterical appeal to Western countries playing a ‘proxy war’ against Russia. He also warned that if Western countries continue to provide arms to Ukraine, the Ukraine conflict will take a more aggressive and frightening turn.
