Kabu – Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid told an Afghan news agency, ‘Special squads of suicide attackers are being formed for the security of Afghanistan. These suicide squads will be a part of the Taliban special forces.’ But this Afghan news agency claimed that suicide attack squads were already deployed near the Tajikistan border in the north even before this announcement. Besides, with the announcement of the suicide squads, the Taliban has warned the international community alongside its neighbours.
Moreover, Taliban, which established its rule in Afghanistan four and a half months ago, has intensified the moves to build its independent defence forces. Taliban had appealed a few weeks ago that former officials and soldiers from the Afghan army should join the Taliban forces. Taliban had assured that these soldiers would not face any troubles. But reports of brutal killings of former soldiers and officials from the Afghan army have been received from Herat and some other provinces.
Only a few days ago, the Taliban announced independent defence forces in this scenario. The Taliban defence ministry informed that bringing together the defence force with nearly a hundred thousand personnel has been started. Defence ministry spokesman Inayatullah announced that 80% of the process has been completed and the members of these defence forces will soon be assigned their tasks and responsibilities. Within two days of this, Taliban spokesman Zabiullah exposed this sensational information regarding the defence forces on Tuesday.
Mujahid said that there would be an independent battalion of suicide attackers. Mujahid informed that the suicide attacker squads would be operational in the Taliban special forces and under the control of the defence ministry. At the same time, Mujahid also informed that even women would be inducted into the defence forces as and when the need arises. The international media have taken serious cognisance of the information given by the Taliban spokesman.
Khama news agency claimed that although the information is being revealed now, suicide squads are already a part of the Taliban forces. As per the news agency, these squads have been deployed near the Tajikistan border. The concerned news agency said that the Taliban has not confirmed this report yet. International media claim that the ’Mansoor Army’ is known as the suicide squad in the Taliban.
Meanwhile, it is reported that the Taliban have built a memorial for the victory over the United States in the Ghazni province. Taliban local Commander Habibullah Mujahid said, ‘The United States may call itself a superpower, but we have shown the world and the future generations how to defeat the United States.’ Another Commander has warned, ‘Other countries also should not think of intruding into Afghanistan, or they too will share the same fate as the United States.’ The Taliban Commander has targeted Pakistan and the United States with this warning.
