Pakistan claims to shooting down Indian spy drone

New Delhi/Islamabad: Pakistan has claimed to have shot down an Indian surveillance drone. This drone had crossed the Line of Control (LoC) and entered the Chirkot sector in Kashmir. India wanted to collect the information about the positions of the Pakistani soldiers through surveillance drone. The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) of Pakistan claimed that the drone was shot down within seconds from crossing the LoC. The Indian Army has not confirmed this.

pakistan, drone, spy, indiaThere is a major conflict between the Indian and the Pakistani armies at the LoC. The Pakistani army is resorting to opening firing and mortar shelling to try and facilitate the terrorist infiltration. But the Indian army has replied Pakistan with strong counter attacks. Because of these counter attacks, terrorists are finding it difficult to enter India and many Pakistani army posts have been destroyed. The Pakistani soldiers have supposedly panicked due to these attacks. The Pakistani media has expressed concerns over these attacks.

Pakistan had initiated movements for getting the international community involved, to stop the Indian counter attack. But there was no success. This seems to have lowered the moral of the Pakistani army. The Pakistani army officials are trying to cover this up with statements like, the Pakistani army is carrying out a major operation against the Indian army. There is a strong possibility that the ‘ISPR’ claim of the drone being shot down, is a part of the same campaign. The ‘ISPR’ had said that 4 Indian drones were shot down in the last one year. Indian has not paid any attention to these claims. The Indian army has ignored the claim made by the ISPR on Wednesday.

The Pakistani news channels have criticised that the Pakistani army is shooting down toy drones and patting its own back. Does Pakistan have the capacity to face a conflict with India? Is the Pakistani economy strong enough to face such a conflict? These are the questions raised by some sane analysts and they said that neither is the Pakistan army nor the government is coming out with satisfactory answers.
