No one will be victorious in Ukraine war, PM Modi warns during Germany visitPrime Minister Modi was given a grand welcome in Germany. After this, Prime Minister Modi discussed with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on Intergovernmental Consultations (IGC) between India and Germany. The two leaders addressed a joint press conference and underlined the importance of this bilateral cooperation. The Prime Minister expressed confidence that India and Germany would work together in many sectors, from energy to the environment, which would positively impact the regional and global levels.

Meanwhile, ahead of Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Germany, there were reports that Germany, which is hosting the G7 summit, had refused to invite India due to US repression. India had decided to maintain cooperation with Russia even after the outbreak of conflict in Ukraine. Outraged by this, the US had exerted pressure to ensure that the Prime Minister of India would not participate in the G7. However, while addressing the media, German Chancellor Scholz announced that he would invite the Prime Minister of India to the G7 summit. This seems to have underlined the importance of India once again.

No one will win the conflict in Ukraine, and on the contrary, everyone will lose. That is why we are advocating for peace, said Prime Minister Modi, outlining the country’s role in this regard. Also, fuel prices have skyrocketed because of the Ukraine conflict. There is a scarcity of food grains and fertilizers. Every family in the world is facing a blow. The Prime Minister pointed out that this has a devastating effect on developing and under-developed countries in particular.

At the same time, Prime Minister Modi said that India was concerned about the dire consequences of the conflict and called for an immediate end to the conflict. While on a tour of Germany, Prime Minister Modi’s remarks on the conflict in Ukraine are striking. European countries are expecting India, which has friendly relations with Russia, to use its influence to force Russia to stop the conflict. At the same time, Russia had said that it would welcome India’s intervention if it wanted to end the conflict. In such a scenario, Prime Minister Modi’s Germany, Denmark, and France tour has started. That is why the statements made by the Prime Minister about the conflict in Ukraine in Germany are significant politically.

The United States and some European nations have warned that Ukraine’s conflict could drag on for decades. However, the countries feeling the heat of the conflict are hoping that the conflict in Ukraine should end as soon as possible. This includes Germany, which is dependent on Russian fuel. At the same time, France is in talks with the Russian president to end the conflict in Ukraine, despite US opposition. If India, along with these two countries, tries to stop the bloodshed in Ukraine, its positive effects could be felt in the future.
