Hyderabad, Dt. 29, (Newsagency) – On Wednesday, the NIA arrested 11 ‘IS’ terrorists in Hyderabad preparing for a major massacre to demonstrate their presence in India.
A suicide attack on Tuesday, by the IS at the Istanbul airport in Turkey had claimed 41 lives. While a high alert was issued across the country on this background, IS terrorists were arrested in Hyderabad. A large quantity of explosives and ammunitions were recovered from these terrorists.
Last year, the ‘NIA’ had arrested a few terrorists linked with the ‘IS’ and even busted a major sleeper cell of ‘IS’ terrorists in India. The Indian Intelligence had received information that India was on the IS Radar. The Indian Intelligence had received information that IS was preparing for a major attack in India and some terrorists from Arab countries were in contact with a few persons in India. Last week, intelligence and investigation agencies did lay their hands on strong conclusive in this regard, evidence after which the NIA filed a complaint and started the investigation.
5 persons linked with the IS were arrested in raids in the Aman Nagar, Charminar and Chhatta Bazaar areas of Hyderabad. It was through the information received from these 5 suspects that another 10 locations were raided on Wednesday morning. In this raid, NIA arrested 6 persons.
Among these, some were in direct contact with the IS terrorists in the Gulf countries. Explosives and ammunition’s were also found in the raid conducted for their arrests. The chemicals used to make explosives and the material used to make IED have been recovered in this raid. Also, mobiles, pen drives and laptops lying around that location have been seized. Officials of investigation agencies are interrogating all the arrested suspects and a few more arrests are could be counted on in the next few days.
The ‘IS’ wants to plan a major attack in order to prove its presence even in a country like India. However, this group will never succeed as the Indian politicians have been claiming consistently. The ‘IS’ has been successful in spreading its network in Afghanistan and Pakistan who are India’s neighbour. But thanks to the alertness of the Indian Intelligence department and the Defence apparatus, the IS has not succeeded, as yet, in carrying its plot through..
