Copenhagen: Prime Minister Narendra Modi warned the Danish industrial world that there is a lot to lose if the opportunity to invest in India is not utilised. Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Denmark started on Tuesday. Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi. At the same time, both the leaders expressed the resolve to make the partnership in green energy more comprehensive.

Whereas saying that India is a strategic partner of Denmark, Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen expressed confidence that this partnership will develop further in the coming times. Prime Minister Modi underlined the importance of investment in India while addressing the India-Denmark Business Group earlier.

‘Fear of Missing out’ is a notable current trend on social media. Prime Minister Modi said that if the opportunity to invest in India is not exploited, there is a fear of losing a lot. Significant changes are happening because of the economic reforms implemented by India. The Prime Minister pointed out tremendous opportunities available in the green technology linked to the environment, building cold storage, ships and ports.

The Prime Minister also pointed out that infrastructural facilities are being developed under the Gati Shakti National Master Plan. Saying that the Indian and Danish industry sectors have collaborated in the past, the Prime Minister gave a message that this needs to be taken to new heights. Last year, the talks between India and Denmark were held through virtual media, given the Coronavirus pandemic. At that time, the India-Denmark strategic partnership had been announced. It is said that the Prime Minister reviewed the alliance’s progress during the Denmark visit.

Meanwhile, along with this Denmark visit, Prime Minister Modi will also participate in the India-Nordic Summit. During the India-Nordic Summit, discussions will be held on the subjects like the situation following the Coronavirus crisis, efforts to streamline the economic situation, global climate, research and technology, renewable energy, and global security situation. On the side lines of the summit, Prime Minister Modi will be holding bilateral talks with leaders of Iceland, Finland and Sweden. The trade between India and the Nordic countries was USD 5 billion. It is expected that there will be a considerable increase in the Indo-Nordic trade following the visit of the Indian Prime Minister.
