Moreover, Iran’s National Security Adviser Ali Shamkhani visited Iraq on Sunday and met Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ Al Sudani. Shamkhani held talks with Iraq’s prime minister about the rocket attacks on Iran from Iraq’s Kurdistan province a few weeks ago and the infiltration of armed Kurdish rebels. He also initiated a border security agreement to deal with these attacks. After this, the agreement was signed between the national security advisers of both countries. According to this, Iraq has agreed that there will be no attacks on Iran from Iraq’s Kurdistan region.

Meanwhile, the Middle East media is claiming that because of this agreement, if there is an attack on Iran’s border soon, Iran will have the right to attack the Kurdistan region of Iraq. Kurdistan is an autonomous region in Iraq and Iraq’s economy depends on the oil-rich Kurdistan. The Kurds are demanding an independent state of Kurdistan which connects Iraq, Iran, Turkey and Syria. But Iran has declared the Kurds as terrorists.
