New Delhi: The ongoing nuclear deal talks between the United States and Iran are in the final stages. All the more, after Iran tabled its proposal regarding the deal before the United States and Western nations, Iran’s foreign minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian held a telephonic discussion with Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar. As per the reports, the Iranian foreign minister has imparted information about the nuclear deal to Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar.

Besides, India had taken the stance that Iran must resolve the nuclear programme issue through mediation. India would remain firm on that stance, asserted External Affairs Minister, Jaishankar.

Meanwhile, before the United States imposed sanctions, India was a prime buyer of crude oil from Iran. But now, as the sanctions imposed by the West against Iran will be lifted, the trade between the two nations will further augment. On Sunday, after the talks between the two nations’ foreign ministers concluded, Iran’s ambassador to India reportedly met with External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar.
