China sends spy ship to monitor Australia’s war exercise

Canberra – The Talisman Saber military exercise of 13 countries, including the US, the UK, France, Japan, Indonesia, Canada, and South Korea, started in Australia on Friday. A total of 30 thousand soldiers are participating in this exercise. In addition, it is claimed that this exercise is important for increasing the coordination between the United States and countries in Europe and Indo-Pacific regions. However, accusing this exercise of being organised against them, China has sent its special spy ship to keep an eye on it.

Sydney will hold these drills, which will continue for about two weeks. Along with the military of 13 countries, India, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand will attend this exercise as observers. Thus, it is logistically considered the biggest exercise organised after the Second World War. The Australian army says this exercise will strengthen the coordination of the US and allied forces.

However, China has sent its spy ship close to Australia’s maritime area to monitor this exercise. China had previously used destroyers to carry out surveillance from the north coast to the east coast of Australia. These Chinese destroyers had retreated on Australia’s objection, which had created tension in this region.
