Pakistan Confesses that underworld criminal Dawood Ibrahim resides in Karachi

Islamabad: – Pakistan confessed that the chief mastermind of the 1993 Mumbai blasts and the ‘Most Wanted Criminal’ in India, Dawood Ibrahim Kaskar, is indeed residing at Karachi, in Pakistan. Since the last many years, despite all the proofs submitted by India, Pakistan had always denied Dawood’s presence in Pakistan. But eventually, it was forced to confess to Dawood’s presence in Pakistan. Given the strong possibility of Pakistan’s inclusion, in the blacklist of Financial Action Task Force (FATF). Pakistan has imposed sanctions against 88 terrorists including Dawood, Moulana Masood Azhar and Lashkar-Taiba Chief Hafeez Saeed.

In 2018, the FATF included Pakistan in the Grey List, under the charges of delaying to take action against terrorist organisations. At the same time, FATF had warned that Pakistan would be included in the blacklist, if it failed to take concrete actions against the concerned terrorist and their organisations, before the end of 2019. The action against Pakistan was deferred given the Coronavirus crisis. But Pakistan has still not taken any action, against these terrorists and their organisations. Therefore, it was being said that Pakistan’s inclusion in the blacklist, was inevitable, in the next FATF meeting. If this is the situation, then Pakistan will stop receiving all aid and funding on the international level. It is said that the Pakistan economy which is already in deep trouble, will sink further.

Against this background, Pakistan media are informing that the government has imposed economic restrictions against 88 terrorists. These include Jamaat-Ud-Dawa, Jaish-e-Mohammed, Taliban, IS, Haqqani group, Al Qaeda and some other chiefs of terrorist organisations and terrorists. The list includes most wanted terrorists like Dawood Ibrahim, Hafeez Saeed, Masood Azhar, Mulla Fazalullah, Zakir Ur Rehman Naqvi, Jalaluddin Haqqani, Yahya Haqqani Ahmed Khalil Haqqani, Muhammed Yahya Mujahid, Noor Wali Mehsud. Under the economic action initiated by Pakistan, orders have been issued to seize the assets of these terrorists and their bank accounts also will be frozen.

Inclusion of Dawood Ibrahim in this list and the addresses of three of his bungalows, in Karachi, exposes Pakistan completely. Since the last many years, India has presented the proofs of Dawood’s addresses in Pakistan and other information to Pakistan. But Pakistan denied the Indian evidence and pretended that Dawood was not present in Pakistan. But this time, Pakistan was forced to confess about Dawood’s presence in the country.
