India and Russia discuss situation at LAC

New Delhi: The Indian and Russian Foreign Secretaries discussed regarding the Line of Actual Control (LAC) over the telephone. Russia has assured India, that it will provide all the necessary defence equipment in this situation. It was reported that India wanted Russia to participate in the Indo-Pacific policy. Russian President Vladimir Putin is visiting India in October. This discussion becomes important against the background of the visit.

Foreign Secretaries of India and Russia discuss LACOn Tuesday, Indian Foreign Secretary, Harshvardhan Shrungla and Russian Foreign Secretary, Igor Morgulov, held a telephonic discussion. The main points of the discussion were bilateral relations and international as well as regional issues. The BRICS and SCO conferences were postponed, given the Coronavirus pandemic. Both the meetings will be held in the next few months. But India and Russia believe that instead of virtual, there should be physical meetings. Both the secretaries discussed this issue. At this time, the tension on the India-China border also was discussed. But the details of this talk are not available.

Before this, Russia has delivered a proper message to China, by inviting India to participate in the Victory Day parade, in June actively.
