He mentioned the violence in the state of Texas during the speech delivered at this time. Pakistan, the Indian neighbour, is the global centre of terrorism. Shringla made crushing criticism that the Global Centre for terrorism is in Pakistan.

Furthermore, the dreadful effects of these terrorism centres in Pakistan will become apparent in the coming times. This is a global problem. The Foreign Secretary appealed that there is a need for effective, clear and coordinated action against this, without any inhibitions. Malik Akram, an extremist of Pakistani origin, had attacked the Jewish place of worship in Texas. He had taken four people hostage and demanded releasing notorious Pakistani terrorist Aafia Siddiqui.

The US security agencies secured the release of the hostages, killing the terrorist. But the issue of Pakistani terrorism has once again come on the anvil on the international level. Shringla adopted an aggressive stand underlining this issue and pointed out the need for an uncompromising stand against the terrorism exported from Pakistan to the world. Shringla added that the world cannot ignore the threat of terrorism because of the excuses being forwarded in support of terrorism. Shringla reminded that Indian Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar also had recently asserted in the UN Security council that terrorism could not be justified in any way.
