Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed the confidence that with this, India will soon become self-sufficient in agriculture and will also emerge as a global leader. The seventh annual meeting of Niti Aayog under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has concluded. Prime Minister Modi also assured on this occasion, ‘The discussions held in this meeting will determine the priorities of the next 25 years and the seeds being sowed today, we will get to taste the fruits of India in the year 2047.’

Governors and administrators of Union Territories. Over the last two and a half years, everyone had participated in the meeting with virtual means. On this occasion, Prime Minister Modi said that every state contributed significantly during the Coronavirus crisis. Due to this, the country was able to control this epidemic. The way the country faced the situation despite its limited resources showed the power of team India. Also, Prime Minister Modi emphasised that India has given a message to the developed countries that any challenges can be overcome with the strength of tenacity.

The aim is to take the country to new heights in the agricultural sector. Everyone has to work together on this front to make India self-sufficient in agriculture. Prime Minister Modi expressed confidence that India will lead the world in the field of agriculture if India becomes self-sufficient regarding animal husbandry and food processing along with the modernisation of the agricultural sector. India has to become self-sufficient in crop diversity, pulses, oilseeds and other agricultural products. For this, the modernisation of this sector will be necessary. Prime Minister Modi said that the role of states would be required in this.

Apart from this, Prime Minister Modi said that there is a need to pay attention to the implementation of national policies in the field of education and the development of cities. Emphasis was also placed on promoting trade, tourism and technology, increasing exports and reducing imports. Goods and Services Tax (GST) revenue is rising. The Prime Minister also expressed his belief that this revenue has scope to grow further, strengthening India’s economic system, and India will be able to achieve the goal of becoming a five-million-dollar economy.
