Gaza/Jerusalem – Terrorists in Gaza launched rocket attacks on Israel on Wednesday after Israel carried out airstrikes on Islamic Jihad sites in the Gaza Strip. One person got killed in Israel’s retaliatory operation in Gaza. Meanwhile, a Russian citizen was also among those killed in Israel’s operation on Tuesday.
On Tuesday, 15 people were killed in an operation by Israeli warplanes in Rafah and other towns in the Gaza Strip. Three senior commanders of Islamic Jihad were among those killed, Israel’s Defense Forces (IDF) informed. But Hamas and Islamic Jihad have accused Israel of killing Palestinians by attacking Gaza. Both the terrorist organisations had threatened that Israel would have to pay a heavy price for this attack. After this, rockets were struck from Gaza towards Israel on Tuesday night.
But Israel’s Iron Dome system intercepted these attacks. Later, one got killed in an attack by Israel in Gaza. Meanwhile, Israel has moved thousands of people near the border to safety, recognising that the rocket attacks in Gaza could intensify.
