It has been 39 days since the Russia-Ukraine war and claims are being made that Russia has intensified attacks in Ukraine. With this, the fuel crisis in the European countries is intensifying, and reports are being received that the fuels supplied by Russia to the European countries will be discontinued. Taking advantage of the situation, the United States has announced that it will supply alternate fuel to the European countries. But some media and groups are accusing the United States of exploiting the situation by selling the fuel at higher rates.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban made this complaint while speaking to a local radio channel. Orban emphasised that Hungary cannot afford to turn its back on the cheap Russian gas to buy this expensive US fuel. Orban lashed out that there cannot be any substitute insight for Russian gas in the case of Hungary soon. Orban expressed a concern that Hungary cannot think about the future if the Russian gas is stopped.

Hungary has adopted a neutral stand in the Russia-Ukraine war. Orban had earlier criticised the Russian attack on Ukraine. This is not a Hungarian war and Hungary cannot produce a win by interfering in it. But Hungary can stand to lose everything in the war.’ Orban had announced not to supply any weapons to Ukraine for this war. European countries have criticised that this Hungarian stand is pro-Russia.

Meanwhile, parliamentary elections are being held in Hungary on this Sunday. A survey conducted a few days ago, has placed Orban in a leading position. But Orban has accused Ukraine is trying to influence the elections in the country through cyberattacks. The European media claim that Orban, who has refused to assist Ukraine, will have to face defeat in the upcoming elections.
