China to use ‘Wolf Warrior Diplomacy’ against the sanctions imposed by the West, analysts claim

Beijing: – A few weeks ago, Chinese President Xi Jinping appealed to make efforts to create an image of a caring and polite country for China in the world. But within a few days of the appeal, a bill retaliating against the sanctions imposed by the western nations was passed in the Chinese Parliament. Analysts Jianli Yang claimed that this bill is a part of the Wolf Warrior Diplomacy of China.

In the last few years, the Chinese communist party has expedited dominant activities all around the world. There has been an addition of the Coronavirus pandemic and atrocities against the Uyghurs. The feeling of resentment against China has intensified in the international community. The western countries have initiated actions against the Chinese aggression and expansionist policies. Moreover, they include comprehensive sanctions against China.

The Chinese communist regime is restless due to these sanctions imposed by the westerners; demand for solid retaliation against it is said to be gaining ground. The ‘Law on Countering Foreign Sanctions’ passed by the Chinese Parliament, in a hurry, is a part of the same sentiment. Analysts claimed that China passed this law in a hurry. It feared that sanctions would be imposed with an initiative from the United States through the G-7 and NATO meetings.

A few days ago, Chinese President Xi Jinping, in his address to the communist party leaders and diplomats, suggested changing the Chinese image. There is hatred about China on the international level; it carries the image of a ruthless country. Jinping said that this image should be changed and a large number of friendships have to be made. Jianli Yang has implied in the article that the Chinese Parliament’s law shows that the Chinese President’s appeal was only an empty bubble.

Yang pointed out that President Jinping himself started Wolf Warrior Diplomacy in the political circles. For the last few years, the Chinese Ambassadors in foreign countries, senior diplomats and leaders are using aggressive language. China threatens any country, including the western countries, firing salvos of vitriolic criticism if a decision is taken against China. The adamant stand of President Jinping is the reason behind this. President Jinping has made everyone believe that China can now retaliate against others. Yang claims that in an attempt to tighten his grip on the country and hide his failures, Jinping tried to encourage nationalism in the Chinese population; the roots of Wolf Warrior Diplomacy are right there.

The term ‘Wolf Warrior Diplomacy’ came into being after the movie ‘Wolf Warrior’ released in 2015. The film shows the conflict of a Chinese Unit military to gain control over the Drug Mafia that foreign agents control.
