New Delhi: On Monday, bilateral talks were held between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu. Although the details of this discussion have not been revealed yet, it is being said that both the ministers discussed agriculture, water management and research via social media.

The PMO stated that this discussion included topics such as the production of equipment for diagnosis Covid patients and also of its vaccine. At the time, PM Modi expressed faith that this cooperation will be beneficial for the world. Hence, the information was imparted about expanding this cooperation. Also, agriculture, water management and new ongoing research in both nations were reviewed. Besides, both leaders have decided to discuss the regional and global challenges and opportunities regularly.

The India-Israel cooperation has been strengthening furthermore in various sectors by the day. Both the nations are working in unison in the defence sector. Against the background of tension with China, India decided to import defence equipment from Israel. Two weeks ago, India-Israel had agreed to form a Sub-Working Group to produce advanced ammunition and defence systems together in the countries. Against this background, the telephone discussion between both the leaders stands significant.
