2 BSF jawans martyred in a terrorist attack in Jammu & Kashmir

Srinagar: 2 BSF jawans were martyred in a terror attack that took place in the city of Srinagar in Jammu & Kashmir. No terrorist organisation has yet claimed responsibility for the shootout. After the attack, security in Srinagar has seen an increase.

On Wednesday evening, in a sudden ambush, the terrorist fired upon the jawans of the 37th Batallion of the Border Security Force (BSF) who were patrolling the Ganderbal area of Srinagar. Although the BSF troops retaliated, the terrorists succeeded in escaping. Two BSF jawans were martyred in the said encounter. Later, the area was sealed, and a search operation launched to catch the terrorists. Also, a high alert has been sounded in the district. Earlier, on Tuesday, Srinagar witnessed another gunfight between the security forces and terrorists in which two militants, including a commander of Hizbul Mujahideen, were eliminated.
