United States imposes harsh sanctions against companies from China and UAE

Washington: The United States has imposed new harsh sanctions against companies linked to the Iranian petrochemical sector. The US Treasury Department took this action against companies in China and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This is the third instance in the last ten days of the United States imposing sanctions against individuals and companies linked to Iran.

The United States is making efforts on the diplomatic level to sign a fresh nuclear deal with Iran. Nelson lashed out that till the deal is finalised, the action of sanctions would continue on Iran and the linked entities.

Accordingly, the United States has imposed sanctions against companies purchasing crude oil and other petroleum products. The United States clarified that these included companies in China and the UAE. These also include a Chinese citizen Jinfeng Gao. Last week, the United States acted against entrepreneurs and their associates of Iranian origin from Russia and China.
