Washington Date 27 Jan 2017 : ‘No Matter whoever says what, but the fact remains that ‘Bashar al-Assad’ is the President of Syria. Hence for any peace agreement to take place in Syria, it is inevitable to converse with President Assad.’ said a leading representative of the ‘Armed services Committee’ of the US Senate, Tulsi Gabbard. She informed the US media that she recently visited Syria and met with Assad.
My four day tour of Syria was classified, clarified Gabbard in an interview. When asked why she met the Syrian president, she set forth her role about Syria.’ If we truly care about the Syrian people and we want to reduce their sufferings and bring peace in Syria, then whats wrong to speak with Assad, who is ready to have a talk asked Gabbard. She also presented her strident view that ‘Let the Syrian people themselves determine their future. US or any other country should not interfere with the fate of Syria’
In her tour of Syria, Gabbard mentioned of meeting with the locals. “Why is the US supporting these terrorists organizations which are destroying Syria?, Al Qaeda had attacked US on 9/11 not Syria!’ Children there asked me such questions and I was unanswered.” said Gabbard. However, I told them that the US is supporting the moderate rebels in Syria. But to this she received an answer that, no moderate rebels exist in Syria, said Gabbard.
