The United States and United Kingdom sign New Atlantic Charter

London/Washington – The United States and the United Kingdom concurred on the Atlantic Charter, strengthening the ties between the two countries. They say that even if it is a different world today, compared to 1941, the US and UK still believe in the same shared values. The new Atlantic Charter indicates the increasing scope of cooperation in the trade, defence, cybersecurity, climate change, Coronavirus pandemic, travel and technology sectors. The first Atlantic Charter was approved by the then UK Prime Minister Winston Churchill and the then US President Theodore Roosevelt during the second world war.
