Kabul – The Taliban are trying to take full advantage of the US military’s hasty withdrawal from Afghanistan. The Taliban have reportedly set up ‘special forces’ using weapons and advanced equipment left behind by the US military in Afghanistan. Photographs and videos have been released in this regard. The Taliban’s special forces are also said to be patrolling the capital, Kabul.
‘Badri 313’ is the name of this particular unit of the Taliban, and they are dressed like foreign soldiers. These are armed with American M4 rifles, armour, tactical radios, helmets, night vision goggles and fully equipped Humvee vehicles. During the occupation of Afghanistan, the Taliban captured the US military as well as Afghan military bases. The Taliban have set up a particular unit using these seized weapons and other advanced equipment from these bases.
Photographs and videos showing this has been released by the Taliban. They also show that special forces are training like military units of other countries.
