Moscow/Oslo: Nearly one year has passed since the start of the Russia-Ukraine conflict began. Besides, Russia has stepped up the ante of its military operations. Russian bombers and fighter jets have been reported to patrol near European airspace twice in the last four days. The media claims that Russia’s movement could be a warning to the West.
On Monday, three Russian jets, two Sukhoi-27 and 1 IL-20M surveillance plane, patrolled the border near Poland. In response, the Netherlands deployed two F35 jets. It is reported that the Russian planes retreated after being warned by the F35 jets of the Netherlands. Russia has not yet responded to this.
On Tuesday, fighter jets and Russian nuclear bombers patrolled the Norwegian Sea and the Alaskan Sea. It included two Tu-60 and two Tu-95 MS along with Sukhoi-30 fighter jets. The US NORAD Command has confirmed this and informed that F-16 planes have rushed to warn the Russian planes. The British media claimed that the growing presence of Russian bombers and fighter jets is a significant event.
