Defence minister, Rajnath Singh, Pakistan, India, Kashmir,The United States has advised its citizens in India to avoid travel near the Line of Control (LoC) in Kashmir in anticipation of brewing tensions leading to a possible conflict between the two countries on the LoC. Although presently the situation is relatively peaceful along the LoC, there are reports of terrorists waiting to infiltrate through Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Pakistan has instructed the terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir to target local civilians. It appears to be a plan of Pakistan’s notorious ISI to destabilise the region and block the development activities in Jammu and Kashmir.

Against this background, the defence minister again issued a stern warning to Pakistan, saying that India will not hesitate to carry out surgical strikes and airstrikes. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh made Pakistan aware of the consequences. A few days ago, Union Home Minister Amit Shah had also issued a stern warning to Pakistan. Pakistan is currently facing an internal political crisis and Prime Minister Imran Khan’s government is under threat. Due to discord with Pakistan’s military, it is said that Imran Khan will be ousted from the Prime Minister office very soon. The Pakistani army supported and got Imran Khan to power, but his government has failed miserably on all fronts, mainly on controlling the rampant inflation.

The Pakistani military is being blamed for the government’s failure; hence the military officials are desperate to wriggle their way out. In such a scenario, former Pakistani army officers have started spewing venom against India. For the past few weeks, former Pakistani military officials have been provoking the people of Jammu and Kashmir to launch attacks on Indian troops. The former Pakistani military official had claimed that this was the only way that Kashmir could be liberated. It indicates that Pakistan will once again intensify its terrorist activities in Kashmir. At the same time, it has been revealed that Pakistan is working on a conspiracy to destabilise India with the help of separatists. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh reminded Pakistan of its defeat in the 1971 war, saying that today’s much stronger India will not tolerate any activity against it.
