Iran has tripled the enriched Uranium stock

Third World WarVienna: Iran has tripled its enriched Uranium stock through secret manufacturing at the nuclear projects. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) criticised that these developments in the Iran nuclear program, are a violation of the international rules. The Atomic Energy Agency had demanded a few days ago that Iran should permit inspection of the concerned nuclear projects, by the inspectors of the agency. But Iran dismissed the proposal saying that it is not obliged to the IAEA.

The IAEA has initiated aggressive steps against Iran since the last few days. The agency claimed that Iran has increased the speed of its nuclear program, ever since the United States exited from the Iran nuclear deal. The United States and Israel are accusing that this increased speed is taking Iran closer to making a nuclear bomb. Against this background, the IAEA had demanded a few days ago, that Iran should open the two controversial nuclear projects for inspection, by the agency.

Iran has tripled the enriched Uranium stockThe international media claimed that Qom and Turkuzabad are on the inspection list of the IAEA. It has already been accused that Iran is storing enriched Uranium and centrifuges below the Qom nuclear project. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had accused last year that secret nuclear activities are being carried out at the Turkuzabad nuclear plant, which is guarded by the military.

IAEA had demanded an inspection of both these nuclear projects. At the same time, the confidential report of IAEA mentioned concerning developments in the Iran nuclear program. Although the agency has not published the report, a part of the contents are available. This says that Iran has tripled its enriched Uranium stocks.

During the inspection of the IAEA, carried out in November last year, the stock of enriched Uranium was 372.3 Kilograms. But, within three months, by 19th February, Iran has increased this stock to 1,020.9 Kilograms. The IAEA has expressed a concern that Iran has tripled its enriched Uranium stock. One month has passed since the report and Iran may have increased the stock further.

As per international analysts, this stock of enriched Uranium is sufficient for Iran to manufacture a nuclear bomb. For this, the IAEA demanded an inspection of the Iranian nuclear projects. But Iran dismissed the demand and said that Iran is not obliged to give the IAEA permission for an inspection.

Meanwhile, the United States and Israel are accusing that this nuclear program is taking Iran very close to the nuclear bomb. Both the countries have warned that they will not allow Iran to be a nuclear power, under any circumstances. Whereas, Saudi Arabia has declared that in case Iran acquires a nuclear weapon, they will not hold back.
