Chinese statistics of Coronavirus suspicious, former US Ambassador to the UN, Nikki Haley

Washington: – The United States, Italy, Spain and France have surpassed China on both the counts of number of cases as well as the number of deaths. China is claiming to have succeeded in controlling the pandemic. But questions are being raised on these Chinese claims. Former US Ambassador to the United Nations, Nikki Haley, has accused that the statistic revealed by China is not correct.

Coronavirus claimed 3,330 lives in China. The number of cases reached 82,000. But now China has claimed to have successfully brought the pandemic under control. Haley expressed her suspicion saying that how can the number be so small, in a country of 1.5 billion people. China is trying to salvage its image by offering assistance to other countries. Haley accused that China is hiding the information regarding the pandemic, for this purpose.

Earlier too, Haley has alleged that China is not revealing true information regarding the Coronavirus pandemic. If China had revealed the information in time, the pandemic would not have spread in the world. Haley criticised that that now, China is trying to repair its image by offering assistance to the other countries to contain the pandemic. US President Donald Trump too had levelled serious allegations against China and had referred to Coronavirus as a ‘Chinese Virus’. China had objected to this. President Trump also had increased the pressure on China by referring to Coronavirus as the Chinese Virus.
