19, including senior Iran intel official, killed in the conflict in Sistan-Baluchestan provinces in Iran  

Tehran: At least 19 people have been killed in clashes erupted during anti-hijab protests in Iran’s Sistan-Baluchestan province. In addition to locals, information is coming out that a senior officer of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards intelligence agency was also killed. This comes as a big shock for the Iranian Revolutionary Guards. Iran has arrested nine European citizens, alleging that the United States and Great Britain are responsible for these terrorist attacks in the country.

Moreover, anti-regime protests have erupted in Iran following the suspicious death of Mahsa Amini, a young Kurdish woman. Anti-regime and anti-hijab protests are also being reported from remote cities in Iran, and the remote province of Sistan-Baluchestan is no exception. The protest began in Zahedan, the capital of Sistan-Baluchestan, a marginalized province in Iran. At this time, some suspects attacked the police station here. In response, the police and the Revolutionary Guards opened fire. 19 people were killed in the clash between the Revolutionary Guards and the protesters following. In addition to the protesters, the local commander of the Revolutionary Guards, Colonel Saeed Ali Mousavi, was killed, according to local news channels. Some policemen were also injured.  

Furthermore, local news outlets say the Revolutionary Guards have been shaken by the death of such a high-ranking officer in the violence during the protests in Iran. But the news that Iran’s intelligence chief Ali Mousavi was killed in the conflict in the Sistan-Baluchestan province went viral on social media. The Iranian government has not confirmed the news. But within the next few hours, the Revolutionary Guards detained eight European citizens from different cities.  

Meanwhile, Iran has said that European citizens are inciting the violent agitation that has destabilized Iran for the past two weeks. This includes citizens of Germany, Poland, Italy, France, Netherlands, Sweden and some other countries. The leaders of Iran are accusing the United States, United Kingdom and Israel of being responsible for this terrorist attack targeting the Iranian regime.
