IRGC said that a large number of terrorists belonging to Jaish UL-Adl were killed in the strike. IRGC clarified that the mission was a complete success and it was able to secure the release of the two soldiers kidnapped by the terrorists. The media claim that even a Pakistani soldier was killed during the mission. In 2018, Jaish Ul-Adl terrorists had entered the Sistan Balochistan province of Iran and abducted 12 Iranian soldiers. Iran had accused that these terrorists could not have attacked without support from the Pakistan military. After that, Iran secured release of 9 soldiers that entered into Pakistan on two occasions, first on 15th November 2018 and then 21st March 2019. Therefore, Iran has carried out missions inside Pakistan for three successive years.

India too has carried out surgical strikes on terrorists holed up in Pakistan. In 2016, 19 Indian soldiers had been martyred in the terrorist attack on the Indian military base at Uri. After that, the Indian army had entered into Pakistan Occupied Kashmir and destroyed terrorist bases. Whereas, in 2019, 46 soldiers had been martyred when the Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists attacked a CRPF convoy at Pulwama. Infuriated with the attack, India carried out an airstrike on the terrorist bases at Balakot, in the Pakistan province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. A large number of Jaish terrorists had been killed in the Indian airstrike.

Meanwhile, a Pakistan military official, of Major General Rank, had recently announced that Pakistan would soon send its military into the Sistan-Baluchistan province of Iran during his address at a rally. The official had openly confessed China had paid huge amounts of money for this mission.
