US is weakening Europe militarily and economically

Moscow: Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov alleged that the United States is trying to weaken Europe militarily and economically. Lavrov said that not only from Russia but also economists in Western countries are aware of this. A few months ago, US economists also claimed that the Biden administration was making moves to end Germany’s influence.

In an interview with a Russian news channel on the occasion of a documentary on the ‘Cuban Missile Crisis’, Lavrov made Europe aware of the reality. The United States aims to cripple European industry and shake the economy. Not only Russians but also economists in Western countries are paying attention to this. The United States is also trying to weaken Europe’s defence forces. European countries are being forced to supply arms to Ukraine. Instead, American weapons are being supplied to European countries. The purpose behind this is that the defence forces of the European countries should depend on American weapons in the future’, the Russian Foreign Minister said.

At this time, Lavrov also said that the US is implementing such a policy through ideologically establishing dominance over Europe and selfish interests at the economic level. He further claimed that a situation similar to the ‘Cuban Missile Crisis’ had arisen in Europe. Foreign Minister Lavrov said Russia feels this way because of weapons in Ukraine and Europe.

In the wake of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, Western countries have imposed massive sanctions on Russia. However, the financial statistics of the last few months have revealed that European countries are the most affected by these restrictions. Against this backdrop, the warning given by the Russian Foreign Minister is noteworthy.
