Washington – The United States has started manufacturing the super-advanced Bunker Buster B-61-12 Nuclear Gravity Bomb. Ten days ago, the United States announced the completion of its prototype. The US agencies believe that the inclusion of the Nuclear Gravity Bomb will further strengthen their national security.
For five decades, the US air force has been equipped with B61 Bunker Buster Bombs. This bomb, also referred to as the Earth-Shattering bomb, was developed during the Cold War and can destroy enemy bunkers, basements, and underground tunnels. However, for a few years, work has been developing an alternative to the B61 Bunker Buster bomb.
Last month, the US National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) announced that a super-advanced version of the B61 Bunker Buster bomb had been developed. Large scale manufacturing of the B61-12 will begin from next May. Along with the F-15 fighter jets in the US air force, the F-35A stealth fighter jets will also be equipped with Nuclear Gravity Bombs.
