Washington/Tehran: The differences regarding the Iran nuclear deal, between the United States and France, have started surfacing. French President Emmanuel Macron has demanded a stern stand regarding Iran’s nuclear deal, who is taking steps towards making a nuclear weapon. US and allies differ on Iran nuclear dealTwo weeks ago, Iran increased the speed of its nuclear program. Violating the nuclear deal signed in 2015, Iran announced to take the Uranium enrichment to 20% level. Iran also activated its Fordo nuclear project and announced that the centrifuges would also be activated soon. The international organisations and analysts claim that these activities are taking Iran very close to the nuclear bomb.

Two days ago, French President Macron issued a warning over this, while speaking to the media. Macron pointed out that Iranian nuclear program is progressing dangerously. If not stopped in time, Iran will be at the doorstep of a nuclear bomb. Macron also proposed that Saudi Arabia and the other Arab countries should be included in the discussions, regarding the nuclear deal, correcting the mistake made in 2015.

But US National Security Advisor, Jake Sullivan, said that President Biden may intensify the activities to finalise Iran’s nuclear deal. Sullivan said that leaving aside the Iranian aggression in the Gulf region; the nuclear deal will be given the highest priority. Iran is reaching very close to the nuclear bomb.

US and allies differ on Iran nuclear dealThe United States will sign a fresh nuclear deal with new conditions, to keep Iran away from making a nuclear weapon. Simultaneously, a leading US newspaper claimed that Sullivan indicated that the United States has also kept the option open to restarting the original deal signed in 2015. Therefore, indications are that the fears expressed by Israel, Saudi Arabia and other Gulf countries regarding the Biden administration could be coming true.

Israel said that if the United States signed a nuclear deal with Iran, the effects could be disastrous. Moreover, Israel also threatened that it would launch an attack on Iran on its own. Whereas, Saudi Arabia has also demanded that the United States take Saudi into confidence while negotiating the nuclear deal with Iran. The French president seems to be supporting this demand. France, even the United Kingdom and Germany had expressed concerns over the Iran nuclear deal and had accused that Iran is violating the 2015 nuclear deal. In this scenario, if President Biden decides to revive the 2015 nuclear deal, it would have repercussions in the Middle East. Simultaneously, an extreme reaction is expected, even from the opposition parties in the United States.
