‘Update’ the war-related policies against North Korea – South Korean President instructs

Seoul: South Korea has decided to modernise its war-related policies to counter the North Korean nuclear and missile threats. South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol issued orders regarding this. On Thursday, President Suk-yeol visited the ‘Military Bunker’ in the capital Seoul. Sources informed that this bunker would function as the command centre in a war situation.

At the same time, the country is also preparing for fresh nuclear tests. Against this background, South Korea has adopted an aggressive policy and has expedited moves to augment its defence capabilities. President Yoon Suk-yeol had announced the establishment of a new strategic command centre. This was followed by comprehensive joint war exercises with the United States.

After that, the South Korean President gave clear indications of the continuation of the aggressive South Korean defence policy by ordering changes in the war-related policies. President Yoon Suk-yeol said it is necessary to guarantee the security of the South Korean population and properties. Modernising the plans against North Korean aggression has become important for this purpose.
