North Korea threatens US over joint military exercises with South Korea -

Seoul: North Korea threatened, ‘If President Biden and his administration want to have a peaceful sleep for the next four years, they should not indulge in activities that will result in insomnia.’ North Korea has issued this threat against the background of the joint war exercises being held between the US and South Korean military. North Korea seems to have issued this threat before the US Secretary of State and Defence reached South Korea.

Annual joint war exercises between the US and South Korean military have started in the last week. The then US President Donald Trump had postponed the exercises last year, given the Coronavirus pandemic. But President Biden approved the exercises last month. North Korea, infuriated because of the joint exercises between the US and South Korea, has issued this stern threat to the Biden administration.

Kim Yo-jong, sister of the North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un, issued this threat. Yo Jong accused that the United States is trying to spark a war in the Korean region. Yo Jong warned, ‘If the Biden administration really wants to have a peaceful sleep for the next five years, they should not indulge in activities where the beginning will be with insomnia.’

Simultaneously, saying that North Korea is following all the South Korean activities very closely, Yo Jong threatened that one act of incitement by South Korea would invite a strong action. Yo Jong said that if the United States and South Korea wish to hold talks with North Korea, they should not incite activities like joint war exercises. This threat issued by the second most influential leader in North Korea is being viewed very seriously.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Secretary of Defence Lloyd Austin are reaching South Korea in the next few hours. This threat issued by North Korea just before that is drawing the attention of the entire world.
