Ukraine has only a few weeks left in its conflict against Russia

Washington/ Kyiv: Ukraine’s economy has been completely destroyed by the Russia-Ukraine conflict, and the country is completely dependent on the West for its military capabilities. In such a situation, Ukraine has only a few weeks left to survive in the anti-Russian conflict, warned the former US senior minister. Former US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and former Secretary of Defense Robert Gates were made aware of the dire situation in Ukraine in an article in the leading newspaper ‘The Washington Post’. At the same time, the former US minister warned that Russian President Vladimir Putin would never back down because defeat is not an option for him.

A few days ago, the Ukrainian regime announced it was planning a new, aggressive campaign against Russia. Ukrainian military officials have said that Ukraine will need a large amount of weapons for this attack. A senior Ukrainian military officer, General Valerii Zaluzhnyi, claimed that the Ukrainian army needed 300 tanks, 500 howitzers and 700 armoured vehicles. It is said that the visit of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, to the United States was also for the demand for the same arms supply.

After Zelensky’s visit, the US announced the provision of Patriot missile systems, Bradley Light Infantry Tanks, and Sea-Sparrow missiles to Ukraine. Germany and France also announced the provision of light tanks and armoured vehicles. However, more than this, arms support is needed for Ukraine, and Western countries should start supplying arms in large quantities, Rice and Gates have demanded in their article.

Millions of citizens have left Ukraine. The infrastructure in this country is almost destroyed. Ukraine’s mineral wealth and industrial sector have also been devastated. Much of the country’s agricultural land has come under Russian control. Ukraine is economically and militarily completely dependent on the West and mainly on the aid of the United States’, the former senior minister of the United States pointed out. Rice and Gates have also claimed that if Ukraine cannot conduct a successful campaign against Russia in the near future, the Western alliance can pressure President Zelensky to force a ceasefire with Russia.

Meanwhile, the Defence Minister of Ukraine, Oleksii Yuriyovych Reznikov, demanded during an interview that his country is shedding blood while conducting a campaign against the threat to NATO. In return, Ukraine should receive weapons.
