Turkish attacks in Syria will free thousands of IS terrorists

Washington: Pentagon spokesman Brigadier General Patrick Ryder warned that security of US soldiers deployed in Syria is under threat given the air strikes launched by Turkey in Syria. At the same time, thousands of IS terrorists imprisoned by the Kurds in Syria will be freed following the Turkish attacks. Analysts in the United States and Syria are expressing concerns that Turkish attacks in Syria will benefit IS. Meanwhile, the Syrian Kurds, angered by Turkish attacks, appear to have warned their adversaries by announcing a halt to operations against IS.

During the five days from November 19th to 23rd, Turkish warplanes launched fierce attacks in the northern part of Syria. 15 civilians and six US-trained ‘Syrian Democratic Forces’ soldiers were killed in an operation carried out at 47 locations here. Turkey claimed to have killed 326 terrorists.

But according to Sinam Mohammed, the US special representative for Syria, Turkey launched attacks near the hospital. There was an airstrike near a prison where IS terrorists were imprisoned. In this case, if the IS terrorists had escaped following damages to the prison, an unimaginable crisis would have developed in Syria. Therefore, Sinam demanded that the United Nations and the international community should take action against Turkey.

US Defence Headquarters Pentagon spokesman Brigadier General Ryder also expressed deep concern over Turkish attacks in Syria. Turkey has launched attacks near US military bases in Syria for the third time in the past nine days. These attacks by Turkey will endanger the safety of US soldiers. At the same time, Ryder warned that 10,000 IS terrorists imprisoned here would escape.

Uzay Bulut, a political analyst of Turkish origin, also warned that Turkey was inviting a bigger crisis with the attacks in Syria. Turkey will take over cities in Syria. But due to this, the Kurdish organization, which has successfully operated against the IS will be weakened and the IS will rise again, warned Bulut.

The Syrian Kurds appealed to the Biden administration in the United States to try to stop these Turkish attacks. But the Syrian Kurds, angered by the lack of response from the Biden administration, have announced a halt to operations against IS. ‘The Turkish army is attacking the Kurds supporting the military coalition of the United States and European countries in the fight against ISIS. Therefore, the anti-IS operation has been stopped’, announced the leader of the Kurds, Mazloom Abdi.

Turkey has blamed the Kurdish organizations PKK, YPG, SDF for the car bombing in Istanbul on November 13th. But all these Kurdish organizations in Turkey and Syria have rejected the allegations against them. Also, the Kurdish organization ‘People’s Democratic Party’ made a proposal in the Turkish parliament demanding an independent inquiry into the Istanbul attack. Erdogan’s regime rejected the Kurdish proposal and announced that it would enter Syria. Meanwhile, Russia has warned that Turkey should not launch attacks against Syria. Russia has warned that Turkish attacks will have serious consequences. But even after this, Turkey is adamant about the attacks in Syria.
