Satellite photos of Syrian airports attacked by Israel released

Damascus: ‘Israel, which is carrying out airstrikes on Syrian airports, is playing with fire and inviting a terrible military conflict,’ Syrian Foreign Minister Faisal Mekdad warned. Two days ago, Syria accused Israel of airstrikes on its airport. Israeli companies have released satellite photographs of the airports damaged in this attack. An angry response from Syria followed later.

A Syrian news channel accused Israeli fighter jets of launching airstrikes in Syria on Wednesday night. Reports of Israeli aircraft launching an attack on the international airport in the capital of Damascus were published. Besides, the Syrian news channel had claimed that air security systems were used against Israeli aircraft. But the allegations were confirmed late Thursday, after two Israeli companies released satellite photographs of the airstrikes in Syria. Along with the capital Damascus, Israel also launched airstrikes on the airport in Aleppo, northern Syria. Satellite photographs clearly show extensive damage to the runways of the airports in both these attacks. At the same time, it is claimed through pictures that the radio navigation system was also destroyed in this attack. The Assad regime in Syria has reacted furiously after an Israeli company released satellite photos.

Israel’s military aggression against Syria is challenging the security in the region. Syrian Foreign Minister Mekdad warned that this could provoke conflict. ‘While Israel continues to show aggression like this, Syria will not remain silent. Sooner or later, the Israelis will pay the price,’ Mekdad warned. Also, the Syrian Foreign Minister accused the neglect of the US and Western countries are encouraging Israel to launch new attacks.

Meanwhile, Israel’s warplanes had hit the southern as well as eastern and western borders of Syria so far. But the Israeli media reminded by targeting the airport in Aleppo that Israel has warned that it could also attack the northern border of Syria. Israel appears to have issued a warning through this action to Iran and Iran-affiliated terrorist organisations that are preparing to launch attacks on Israel from Syria.
