Moscow/ Kyiv: Due to the increasing defence cooperation from the United States and NATO to Ukraine, Russia has started to increase the deployment of its nuclear forces near the European border. It was revealed that Russia has deployed as many as 11 ‘Strategic Nuclear Bombers’ and ‘KH-101’ missiles at the ‘Olenya Airbase’, which borders Finland and Norway. A few days ago, NATO announced a ‘Nuclear Exercise’. Given this background, the emergence of Russia’s nuclear deployment draws attention.

Olenya Airport in Russia is 95 miles from the Finnish border and 115 miles from the Norwegian border. No bombers or fighter jets were stationed at this Russian base in August. Currently, 11 ‘Strategic Nuclear Bombers’ have been deployed at the base, including seven ‘TU-160s’ and four ‘TU-95s’. Russian forces are said to have advanced near the city of Bakhmut in Donbas as Ukraine counterattacks in Kherson. Western systems and media have confirmed this.
