Potholes on Sion-Panvel highway cause traffic jam frustrating motarists

Mumbai: Large potholes have developed on the Sion-Panvel highway due to heavy rains. On Tuesday, this caused a major traffic jam on the road. At the same time, images of vehicles lined up over a stretch of 3 km from Kharghar to C.B.D were visible. Motorists travelling towards Mumbai on the highway were frustrated, as it took them well over half an hour to cover a minor distance of 3 km from Kharghar to CBD Belapur due to the traffic jam.
