Nine Al Qaeda terrorists arrested from West Bengal and Kerala, NIA busts major terror plot 

New Delhi: – National Investigation Agency (NIA) arrested nine Al Qaeda terrorists, in raids conducted in West Bengal and Kerala. These terrorists were planning major terror strikes in India. A large quantity of arms, explosives, electronic devices and some banned articles were seized from these terrorists. It is also being exposed that these terrorists were in contact with agents, in Pakistan, through social media.

The terrorist modules in India are trying to launch a major terror attack in India, with assistance from Pakistan. One of the modules has been destroyed with this action. This has busted a major terror-attack plot. NIA arrested nine terrorists in raids conducted in Murshidabad in West Bengal and Ernakulam in Kerala. It is being revealed that these terrorists were planning major strikes at various locations in the country.   

The leader of this module, Abu Sufiyan was arrested from Murshidabad. Najms Shaquib, Mounu Modal, Levu Ian Ahmed, Al Moumun Kamal, Atitur Rehman are the names of the other terrorists arrested from Murshidabad. Murshid Hassan, Yaqoob Bishwas and Mosaraf Hasan were the three terrorists arrested from Ernakulam.   

These terrorists were to visit Delhi to purchase arms and ammunition. NIA sources said that these weapons were to be sent to Kashmir. NIA had been tipped off that the AL Qaeda modules were operating with assistance from Pakistan, were preparing for terror attacks at various locations in India. Accordingly, an investigation was initiated on the 11th of September after registering a complaint.
