Navy to get new ensign with commissioning of Vikrant in the presence of the PM on September 2Currently, the Indian Navy has an aircraft carrier INS Vikramaditya in its fleet. The tests of Vikrant have been completed and Vikrant, weighing more than forty thousand tons, is ready to join the Indian Navy. Vikrant will join the Indian Navy on September 2. The ceremony will be held in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Navy, in its statement, underlined the importance of this Indian-made aircraft carrier, saying that its participation in the Navy is a historic event.

This will be the first time that the Indian Navy has two aircraft carriers at the same time. This will significantly increase the Navy’s capability and the country will get major strategic benefits. Most importantly, this warship weighing more than 40,000 tons was built in the country itself. India has proved its capability through this. About ₹ 20,000 crores have been spent on the construction of Vikrant, equipped with state-of-the-art systems and capabilities.

China’s Navy has started moves to establish its dominance in areas where India has natural influence. For this, China has increased its naval capacity to a great extent. In hundreds of years, no example of any country suddenly increasing its maritime capacity in such a short period exists. The Indian naval officers noted this. This forced India to take rapid steps to enhance the strength of its Navy greatly.

This led to the decision to build another aircraft carrier for the Indian Navy. But India’s success in building an indigenously made warship is significant. The whole world seems to have taken note of this. The Navy will soon procure advanced fighter jets for deployment on Vikrant. For this, there is competition between the Rafale aircraft of Dassault company of France and the F-18 aircraft of Boeing company of USA. It was also revealed that Boeing had modified its F-18 Hornet aircraft to make it easier to deploy on Indian warships.

With the Indian Navy thus increasing its strength and capabilities, it has been decided to display a new ensign for the Navy. With the official participation of INS Vikrant in the Navy on September 2, this new ensign will be revealed to the world. It is claimed that the new ensign will bring India’s rich maritime heritage to the world, leaving behind the symbols of the British era.
