London: More than 6,000 Coronavirus deaths were reported in the last 24 hours, around the world, taking the total count of deaths to 258,962. John Hopkins University noted that there was an increase in the number of deaths in the United States and the United Kingdom. At the same time, there was an addition of 80,000 new cases worldwide and the total number of cases has reached 3,747,313. The number of patients winning the fight against Coronavirus also has crossed 1.25 million.
A downward trend in the number of deaths was being observed in the United States, since the last three days. But as per the information released by the john Hopkins university, the pandemic claimed 2,333 lives in the United States, and 56,000 new cases were reported from the country. The total number of deaths in the United States has reached 71,022 and number of coronavirus cases has reached 1,238,052. President Trump has expressed a fear that there will be a minimum of a hundred thousand deaths in the United States.
The pandemic has claimed more than 144,000 lives in Europe, which includes 29,684 deaths from the United Kingdom. In the last 24 hours, the pandemic claimed 456 lives in the United Kingdom. Whereas the lives claimed by the pandemic are 29,315 in Italy, 25,613 in Spain and 25,531 in France. The pandemic has claimed 6,993 lives in Germany and there are more than 167,000 Coronavirus cases in the country.
As per the John Hopkins University, after the United States and Europe, the highest number of deaths have been reported from Asia. The number of deaths in Asia is over 20,000 and the number of cases has reached near 600,000. Whereas, the pandemic has claimed more than 15,000 lives and the highest number of deaths have been reported from Brazil, followed by Ecuador, with 1,569 deaths. The number of Coronavirus cases has reached nearly 300,000 in Latin America and there are 115,953 cases in Brazil alone.
86 deaths were reported from Russia in the last 24 hours and the total number of deaths has reached 1,537. Russia recorded an increase of more than 10,000 new cases, for the fourth successive day. As per the information given by the Russian agencies, the country reported 10,559 new Coronavirus cases and the total number of cases has reached 165,929.
