Strong protests are being held against the military, in Myanmar, since the last two months. An extensive agitation has been started demanding that the military gave up power, forcibly acquired through a coup and hand over the reins to the democratic government. The agitation is receiving support from every corner of the country and the rebel groups and religious organisations also have jumped into the fray. The military is extremely agitated given the support received by the agitation. The military has increased the intensity of their actions to spread an atmosphere of terror and fear among the protestors.

Since the last few days, the Myanmar military has even started airstrikes and other actions against the ethnic groups. Aggressive reactions are being received from the international community as the extent of action increases and the warning by the UN special envoy is also a part of the same reactions. Christine Schraner Burgener, the special envoy of the United Nations for Myanmar, demanded that the International community needs to take a unanimous decision regarding the matter. Burgener warned that if the international community does not unite against the actions initiated by the Myanmar military, bloodstreams will be flowing in Myanmar.

The Myanmar military has shut down the internet services to stop the agitation. But the protestors have found alternatives to bypass the ban. Moreover, radio waves and other services are being used to communicate. The fifth charge sheet has been filed against Myanmar leader Aung San Syu Ki; a serious charge of violating a confidential law has been levelled against her. Before this, she has also been charged with corruption.

Meanwhile, the United Kingdom announced the imposition of fresh sanctions against Myanmar. The sanctions target the industry group associated with the military. British Foreign Minister Dominic Raab criticised that the Myanmar military has stooped to a new record level, killing children and innocent civilians. Before the United Kingdom, the United States imposed sanctions against the Myanmar military. Simultaneously, the Next company in the United Kingdom announced that it is stopping imports from Myanmar.
