Middle East will spark a destructive war, warns Iranian Ambassador to UK

London: Hamid Baeidinejad, the Iranian Ambassador to the United Kingdom, issued a stark warning saying,“While we have renounced any escalation in the region, I would assure you that Iranian armed forces are fully ready for any eventuality in the region, so they should not try to test the determination of Iran to confront any escalation in the region.” At the same time, the Iranian Ambassador warned that the US deployment in the Middle East could spark a destructive war in the region. In other words, the Iranian Ambassador has given out a message that the devastating war could engulf the Gulf countries.

The United States has despatched its large aircraft carrier, USS Abraham Lincoln, along with a squadron of B-52 bombers, Patriot air defence system and a fleet of destroyers, to the Persian Gulf. The intelligence agencies had reported a threat from Iran to the United States and its interests in the Middle East. Therefore, the United States claims the military deployment to be a warning for Iran. However, it is the allies of the United States in Europe who have criticised the deployment. The United Kingdom and France have demanded that the United States should withdraw the deployed military as well as the sanctions imposed against Iran.

Under such circumstances, Hamid Baeidinejad, Iranian Ambassador to the United Kingdom, issued a threat over the US deployment in the Middle East. ‘The United States has committed a grave mistake by deploying an aircraft carrier, bombers, other defence equipment and soldiers. The United States is trying to draw Iran, into a conflict with this deployment. But Iran does not want a conflict of any kind, in this region. Despite this, if forced, the Iranian military is prepared for any eventuality. Therefore, the United States should not make the mistake of testing Iran because, in that case, a destructive war will be sparked in the Middle East,’ Baeidinejad warned.

Meanwhile, Baeidinejad said during an interview with a British daily that the United States war with Iran will prove to be disastrous for the Middle East.
