Iran conducts drone strike drills to target an Israeli naval base

Jerusalem: Iran’s Navy conducted drone strike drills on replicas of Israel’s Eilat naval base and destroyers. An Israeli newspaper reported that the mock training was conducted as part of a war exercise by Iran’s Revolutionary Guard last week. Israeli newspapers claim it to be a threat by Iran to Israel.

Iran’s Revolutionary Guards released photographs of the drill. There were reports of Iran using drones and missiles during this war exercise. A replica of a Hengam-class ship was destroyed using the Ababil-5 suicide drone. Moreover, Iran released a picture of the vessel docked at Israel’s Eilat naval base.

The Israeli military claims Iran has greatly increased the capabilities of its drones. Israel had alleged that terrorist organizations in Iraq, Syria and Yemen were using Iranian drones to launch attacks.
